St. Ann's ART Students Responsible for Adding Beauty to the Children's Museum at the Museum of the Southwest!!!
Many of our 2nd Grade, 4th Grade, and 5th Grade Artists here at St. Ann's donated their 3D Artwork to the Museum of the Southwest's quest to make their Museum festive for the Christmas season. The students learned about 3D Form and Texture and what it meant to build a structure first, then "make it pretty". They learned how Engineers are faced with solving the problem of creating a structure that will have a solid foundation. Their structures were to be functional. They should be able to hang and they should not fall apart. They should be decorated so that all sides of the artwork may be seen if the piece were to spin or turn. They created "recycled art" - using natural materials found on our earth (sticks, cotton fabric textiles, yarn, and straw). Then, using a sparkle of paint, and some pipe cleaner wire, the structures were made beautiful!

The St. Ann's Art Students helped create some stage props for this year's Musical Christmas Program!!!!!
Each class was responsible for decorating their own box. The assignment was to make each large box look like a large Christmas gift up on stage.
We can't wait to see those props in the Christmas Program on Wednesday, December the 9th at 6pm in the church!!!!
